Polymax Quadrifecta Project

Love the sound of the Roland Jupiter 8, the Moog Mini Moog, The Roland Juno 106/60, Sequential Prophet 5 and many other vintage analog and digital classic synths?

Well this is the ultimate "In the Box" classic, rare, vintage and exceptional sounds (Cloned from the real vintage instruments) without getting tied down by CPU, while also getting the use of the amazing polymax filters and envelopes that mode these synths so very well. The 4 Pole filter, very low CPU, FM, wave mixing and snappy envelopes of Polymax really set it apart from other plugins and it has the amazing ability to sound incredible for vintage classic synth sounds , but also modern classics and inbetween (eg Synthwave, Chillwave, Lofi etc). It is so very underrated and so simple to use, no menu diving, no extra pages to tab through. It is right there, a very stable plugin in my experience and sounds so very good.

You can also select the bass catagory for example in the polymax software, then if you want a "mini-d" bass, just type "mini", it is so fast and easy.

Note about Catagories:

If you resave the files they lose their catagory, I edited all the json files to get them searchable by catagory which as above is great for very quickly finding sounds. Why do they lose their category? No idea, but I just may adjust them sightly in a track I made and the sounds are saved in your session so it isnt much of a drama and the original sounds just stay the same if you dont save them in Polymax so you can still seach by a catagory like "Bass", "Lead", "Keys" etc, then type Jupie-88 to instantly see all Jupie-88 Bass sounds.

Huge additions, decided I needed to take influenece from Omnisphere (best sound designers imo) & Arturia.

All my now 200 presets made over 6 months are from the inti patch, 100% no fill sounds. I used sylenth1 for 15 years with my vintage analog gear because it was so low on cpu, so quick to program and well.. really good. I decided to start using the vastly underated polymax instead. Most of these are on my fave vintage analog synth patches and patches I have designed for other synths over that last decades, many based on the classic "rare pokemon" sounds as I describe them.

Very Low CPU, vastly underpriced, very fast to work with (no menu diving/ page changing), super good filter & snappy ENVs. Then it has FM, sync and wave morphing. Only 2 oscillators but I actually prefer that, less risk of thin out of phase sounds. Amazing stereo spread options.

Like I said, not fill sounds, this has taken 100s of hours to do.

The best way to search them is in teh search bar just type "bass", there they are, but I have now also catagorised them using universal audios "Type" categorisation. So now you can click the strings button for example and it will show them like this.

I have not undated all the sounds listed below yet, ran out of energy, but rest assured they are the best set of retro classic analog/ classic digital/ essential sounds /full pack & production kit.

This plugin has all the ingredients to attempt to replicate the vintage classic analogs together with a very low price, a stable plugin, a low latency and very easy, very quick preset management. Also the effects are really good and it has the most amazing stereo spread options, instant, no messing around furtherinto the mix for stereo field.

Most importantly, the right filters, snappy enough envelopes and the most awesome wave morphing. Truely impressed with this plugin.

So I sat down and got to work modelling from my the real analog versions of the synths, using my 20 years experience of sound design to select the kind of sounds (only the really special ones for each synth) I want ready to go for working easily in the box. Sometime I replace them with the real thing if I think a track is good enough, sometimes I don't need to.

I have captured the flavour of each classic analog synthesizer with the sounds I want ready to go at any time working in my daw with latency not seeming to become a problem on an M2 Mac. This plugin is not a CPU hog like so many others that can grind creative flow to a halt or add extra processes to your workflow that cant be quickly and easily undone.

Why "Quadrifecta"? Well I think sounds inspired by these 4 analog classic synthesizers, the Roland Jupiter 8, The Moog Minimoog, the Sequential Prophet 5 and the Roland Juno 106 are the true classics in my own opinion, exacly the sounds I want quick easy access to.

Free TAL - Chorus plugin- You should add this to the Jun-6 Patches and it will really tranform some of them. TAL did such an amazing job on this and afetr years it still stands up as a great digital emulation of the OG. Shout to to TAL as an amazing company.

Split and Multis

Don't forget that most DAWS will let you make these no problme in an instrument rack.

I have been experiementing and the possibilites are endless. eg Prophet based low brass growl with a Jupiter inspired pads with shimmer reverb, it sounds so good it is rediculous.

I have a patch for panning one to the left and one to teh right and it is rediulous sounding in teh stereo field.

I am really hoping this pack of polymax presets is successful so I can put in more time to create more . I took a big risk putting in so much time with a lesser know and used plugin, but I think this plugin is truely underrated by a massive margin and hope to see its adoption increase significantly.
